I am an assistant professor at University at Albany, NY.
Previously, I was a research fellow at Graz University of Technology in Prof. Michael Kerber's group (until July 2023) and at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in the group of Prof. Claudia Landi (until November 2020). I defended my PhD thesis in December 2019 at the University of Pavia in the Mathematics department. If you want to read it, please have a look here! I completed my master's studies in Mathematics at the University of Torino, spending one year at the University of Potsdam. I took in Torino also my bachelor's degree, in Mathematics.
Here you can take a look at my CV.
My work is in applied topology, with a marked categorical approach.
I am also interested in the computational side of applied topology, especially in developing algorithms for retrieving invariants.
Together with Yossi Bokor Bleile, Jānis Lazovskis, and Bastian Rieck, I am maintaining DONUT, a database of real-world applications of Topological Data Analysis. Please contact us at donut (at) topology (dot) rocks if you have any questions. If you notice an article is missing, please fill out this form.
